The purpose of TDSC is to publish papers in dependability and security, including the joint consideration of these issues and their interplay with system performance. These areas include but are not limited to: System Design: architecture for secure and fault-tolerant systems; trusted/survivable computing; intrusion and error tolerance, detection and recovery; fault- and intrusiontolerant middleware; firewall and network technologies; system management and administration; Evaluation: modeling and prediction; survivability and performability modeling; solution techniques; experimental methods including test-bed design, automated fault/attack generation, monitoring, measurement and analysis, workload characterization, benchmarking, and quality of service assessment; Applications: transaction processing; distributed and pervasive systems; electronic commerce; real-time systems; safety-critical systems; embedded systems; Internet applications; Software Design: operating system support for detection and recovery; selfchecking; fault tolerance techniques; network interfaces and protocols; testing, validation, verification; aging and rejuvenation; reliability and performance. Emerging Technologies: nanoscale computing; mobile computing; wireless telephony; satellite networks; data mining; wearable computers; multimedia applications; signal processing; quantum computing.
